Account and data
Delete Your Account
You can request deletion inside Alter or from the web without reinstalling the app. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account or cancel Alter+.
1. Delete inside Alter
- Open Profile.
- Open Settings, then Account and privacy.
- Select Delete account, review the effects, and confirm.
The authenticated request begins the existing seven-day recovery period. During that period, signing back in and completing recovery may cancel the pending deletion.
2. Request deletion from the web
Email from the address associated with your Alter account. Use the subject “Delete my Alter account” and include only the account email and, if known, your display name. Support may use a secure sign-in or verification step before acting.
3. What happens to data
After the seven-day recovery window, Alter deletes or schedules deletion of the account, Dating profile and photos, coarse location, private messages and media, and other private content. Shared records may be anonymized when deletion would break game, match, abuse-prevention, or accounting integrity.
Removed or unmatched Dating conversations may be retained for up to 90 days for safety handling, then purged unless an active report or legal hold requires limited retention. Immutable purchase, refund, fraud, audit, or legal-compliance records may be retained when required. See the Privacy Policy for details.
4. Cancel a subscription separately
Google Play billing is not currently enabled, so Alter cannot create a store subscription yet. After billing launches, account deletion will not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it in Google Play Subscriptions before deletion to prevent a future renewal. See Subscription Terms.
