Decision review
Appeals
You may request a review when Alter restricts content, Dating access, discovery, verification status, or an account and the notice says the decision is eligible for appeal.
1. Submit an appeal
Reply through the appeal action in the decision notice when available, or email support with the account email, the case or decision reference, and a short explanation of why the decision should change. Do not send a password, raw identity document, unnecessary private conversation, or prohibited imagery.
2. What review covers
- An authorized reviewer considers the decision reason and only the evidence needed for that case.
- Moderators cannot edit messages, impersonate members, expose identity documents, retrieve precise location, or browse unrelated private conversations.
- The reviewer may uphold, modify, or reverse the decision; request verification or clarification; or keep an interim restriction in place while an urgent safety risk is assessed.
- Requests that duplicate a completed review without new relevant information may be closed.
3. Limits and urgent matters
Store purchase and refund decisions are handled by Google Play. A global, country, or regional emergency pause may remain in effect while a legal, provider, or safety incident is addressed. Alter cannot disclose another member's private data, confidential fraud signals, or information that would create a safety risk.
An appeal is not an emergency channel. Contact local emergency services when someone is in immediate danger, and use the child-safety reporting path for suspected child exploitation.
